Function:
The Seed Peeling Machine elevator feeds the product into 4 Seed Cleaners. The horizontal rotating disc accelerates the sunflower seeds falling onto the chute and throws them against the mill’s drum wall. The sunflower seed shell breaks upon hitting the wall, separating into two parts. The shells and seeds that form in the mill drum chamber are conveyed through a vibro-conveyor tray under an air suction aspirator, where they are cleaned from the shells by an air vacuum. The unpeeled seeds and kernels rise upwards and are transferred to the next vibro-vibrating tray. The unpeeled seeds are then fed back into the elevator and sent back to the mill. In total, the seeds pass through 4 adjustable-angle vibro trays where the kernels continue to be separated from the unpeeled seeds. The machine’s air suction vacuum system then transports the unpeeled seeds separated in these 4 stages back to the initial seed cleaners.
Design:
The machines are easy to maintain, and preventive maintenance can be performed by basic skilled operators. Machines maintained according to the plant’s operating manuals will have a long lifespan.
Capacity Guide:
For sunflower seeds with a moisture content of 5–6% and a size of 3.00–3.80 mm, the seed peeling capacity analysis at 98% shows an output of 300–400 kg/hour of kernels with 98% full kernel content (2% = Unpeeled seeds, broken kernels, half-shelled seeds).
For sunflower seeds with a moisture content of 5–6% and a size larger than 3.80 mm, the seed peeling capacity analysis at 98% shows an output of 300–600 kg/hour of kernels with 98% full kernel content (2% = Unpeeled seeds, broken kernels, half-shelled seeds).
